Klinger Constructors, LLC is looking for an experienced Iron Worker to join our team. This role is central to our construction projects, performing a variety of structural and reinforcing steel tasks to build and support critical infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Tie and bend rebar and remesh materials for concrete support.
- Perform repeated bending activities for applying tie wire, twisting and securing rebar joints.
- Align structural steel, which may involve walking on 4-inch wide steel 20-30 feet above ground.
- Work in pairs to pull out steel bar joists at specific distances and align materials with spud wrenches prior to bolting and welding.
- Perform arc welding using a welding hood while maintaining balance in a squat posture.
- Gain access to elevated structures by climbing extension ladders.
- Maintain kneeling, crouching, and crawling postures for greater than one minute at a time.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience performing structural and reinforcing steel tasks.
- Ability to work at heights and maintain balance on narrow beams.
- Physical strength and stamina for sustained bending, lifting, and postural work.
- Experience with arc welding.
- Comfort and safety awareness when working from ladders and elevated structures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, often in pairs.
