Meijer Stores LP, a family company serving people and communities, is looking for an Inventory Crew Member in Lansing, MI. You will join a team that ensures physical inventories are completed accurately and professionally in our retail units, providing critical data to company leadership.
What You'll Do
- Physically count merchandise in stores, scanning UPCs and entering counts on a handheld computer.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers and use communication skills to interact effectively with store team members.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency; daily progress toward goals will be tracked with regular productive feedback.
- Exercise good judgement and maintain confidentiality of all information.
- Participate in other auditing projects to keep leadership informed on store conditions and execution.
What We're Looking For
- High school graduate or equivalent education.
- Knowledge of general business math and bookkeeping principles.
- Six months to one year of job training and relevant experience.
- Strong mental and visual ability to perform detailed counts.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for at least 95% of the work time.
- Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move objects weighing between 10 and 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
