Celestica is hiring an Inventory Analyst to manage inventory coordination, control, and reporting for the business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing strategies to achieve the material plan and leading projects to optimize inventory levels.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate, control, and report inventory for the business unit.
- Implement strategies to achieve the material plan.
- Provide guidance to planners on planning practices and data integrity.
- Initiate, develop, and lead projects to control inventory and achieve inventory plan targets.
- Analyze material plans and make recommendations on inventory levels.
- Produce weekly reports to forecast and track inventory.
- Balance inventory results with financial records.
- Track inventory issues and assist team members in understanding and resolving them.
- Control and monitor surplus inventory, assisting in the implementation of action plans.
- Support the physical inventory count process.
- Coordinate the distribution of surplus parts to other sites.
- Negotiate with brokers to sell surplus parts.
- Initiate the scrapping of surplus parts in accordance with Celestica procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Good knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, the product build process, purchased materials, and the engineering change process.
- Good knowledge of inventory management, production planning, scheduling, material requirements planning, and manufacturing control systems.
- Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in relevant business applications.
- Good analytical and statistical skills.
- Good negotiation and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Two to four years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business or Engineering), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Team & Environment
You will work under general supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures, and methods are referred to a manager or expert resource.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located in Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand.
