Allstate is hiring an International Tax Senior Manager to manage a complex global tax portfolio. In this remote role, you will ensure accurate tax reporting, advise on strategic transactions, and lead initiatives to optimize the company’s worldwide tax position.
What You'll Do
- Manage quarterly and annual income tax provision, forecasting, and budgeting for Allstate Protection Plans in accordance with U.S. GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal management reporting requirements.
- Perform technical review of federal, state, and international tax calculations, including Subpart F, GILTI, and other relevant international tax provisions.
- Support related SEC financial disclosures and ensure execution of SOX controls.
- Oversee standalone financial statement tax reporting for entities in Bermuda, the United Kingdom, and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
- Lead implementation and compliance efforts for Pillar 2 global minimum tax rules.
- Monitor international tax law developments and assess their impact on the company’s strategy and operations.
- Review federal, state, and international tax return filings and forms as a U.S. shareholder.
- Advise on tax implications of new business initiatives, acquisitions, and structural changes.
- Collaborate with external advisors under a managed services operating model.
- Lead and develop a team of tax professionals.
- Collaborate with business units and external advisors on transfer pricing strategy and documentation requirements.
- Support tax transformation initiatives as part of broader Finance modernization efforts.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization’s global tax position.
- Drive process efficiencies and enhance data and analytics capabilities to support strategic decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in federal, state, and international tax, preferably within a corporate environment, public accounting firm, or large multinational tax department.
- Deep expertise in ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes).
- Deep expertise in Pillar 2 global minimum tax rules.
- Deep expertise in U.S. international tax accounting and compliance.
- Strong understanding of SEC reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Proven analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience managing external vendors and consultants.
- Ability to travel periodically to Allstate’s Chicago headquarters and California for in-person collaboration.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Insurance industry knowledge.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA systems.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $112,000.00 - $196,750.00 annually.
