CVS Health is looking for an International Intake Specialist to ensure the healthcare needs of CSS patients are met and to deliver an outstanding experience. This role develops strong relationships with practice leadership and serves as the primary liaison to select embassies, government agencies, and other national and international customer groups.
What You'll Do
- Welcome and greet patients arriving at designated locations.
- Coordinate the clinical review, medical appointments, and arrival of international patients.
- Document transactions in the departmental database and provide periodic data reporting.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with local, national, and international healthcare providers, client groups, patients, and their families to grow volume.
- Serve as the designated 'account representative' for selected key relationships.
- Take primary responsibility for complete itineraries for Center patients and referrers, customizing as appropriate.
- Employ facilitation strategies to meet the service and healthcare needs of all patient referrals, including highly complex cases.
- Execute high-level requests requiring flexibility to usual operational procedures.
- Conduct research (e.g., physician profiles, hospital resources) and share with departmental staff.
- Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of services provided by MGH/Partners.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with MGH professionals, ancillary services, and affiliated hospitals to expedite coordinated care.
- Team with other CSS staff for cross-coverage to provide the best possible service.
- Facilitate special projects, such as special mailings and other outreach efforts.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5-7 years of related experience in a health care or business environment.
- Expert in EPIC and CRM systems relating to operational processes.
- Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and organizational departments and divisions.
- Competent with Microsoft Office desktop applications; familiar with database management software.
- Ability to multitask and change priorities to meet patient and client needs.
- Excellent relationship management skills, including negotiating, mediating, and facilitating.
- Proven ability to perform well under pressure and in an ever-changing environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information discretely.
- Outstanding communication skills in all formats (phone, electronic, in-person).
- Able to perform all tasks of Patient Liaison I and coordinate work with Patient Liaisons.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven diplomacy skills and ability to work with all levels of management and medical professionals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare services, systems, and procedures.

- Written and spoken fluency in a language other than English.
