About the Role

Melia Hotels is looking for an Internal Auditor to ensure the Group's compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to information systems. You will minimize security and service quality risks by reviewing and evaluating controls, systems, and procedures, proposing remediation measures that ensure operational continuity, data protection, and excellent guest experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Plan audits based on risk, estimating duration and scope, prioritizing high-risk areas, and reporting plan adjustments.
  • Execute the audit plan in accordance with International Internal Audit Standards, reviewing hardware and software controls, and participating in national and international audits.
  • Document evidence, identify non-compliance, classify risks by relevance, issue reports with recommendations, and verify the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain continuous contact with Technology and Business departments (national and international), coordinating with teams from other offices (Spain, Americas, APAC) and collaborating with the DPO, Legal, and IT Security.
  • Support and conduct GDPR and PCI DSS audits, collaborate on incident response, analyze remediation processes for cyber-attacks/breaches, and manage service onboarding and roadmap.
  • Maximize the use of HighBond and ACL Analytics, drive the digitization of internal audit functions, propose improvements to frameworks, tools, and manuals, and foster a risk management culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Education in technological or related fields (Information Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications) or solid training in IT auditing.
  • Previous experience in internal/external IT auditing, evaluation of application and infrastructure controls (hardware/software), and risk management.
  • Regulatory knowledge of GDPR and PCI DSS.
  • Knowledge of internal audit best practices and control methodologies applied to IT.
  • Working knowledge of HighBond and ACL Analytics tools.
  • Availability to travel approximately 20% of the work schedule.
  • High level of English and Spanish.
  • Commitment to reside in Palma.
