Tolmar, Inc. is seeking an Intern to join our Quality Systems & Compliance team. This role provides hands-on experience in Quality Assurance (QA), exposing you to real-world problem-solving as you assist in processing and investigating product defect customer complaints. You'll gain valuable professional development while supporting our commitment to product safety and quality.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the processing, investigation, and trending of product defect customer complaints.
- Support the documentation and resolution of customer reports, ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
- Work closely with the QA Patient Safety team to document, investigate, and process product quality complaints.
- Track investigation progress and contribute to system and process optimization.
- Support corrective and preventive actions related to product complaints.
- Coordinate the return and visual inspection of complaint samples, managing shipping, logs, and tracking details.
- Perform daily tracking and receipt of customer complaint samples, evaluating returned samples and reporting findings.
- Ensure complaints are processed within established timelines to meet regulatory requirements.
- Perform destruction of complaint samples per internal procedures.
- Identify gaps and areas for improvement, communicating and implementing recommendations.
- Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Complete all required training.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Nice to Have
- Previous internship or coursework related to Quality, Regulatory, or Medical Devices.
- Training or familiarity with complaint-handling and problem-solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with Quality Systems and complaint handling.
- Experience with SOP writing.
- Basic knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and FDA and other regulatory compliance regulations.
