Gilead Sciences is looking for a Medicinal Chemistry Research Intern to contribute to high-impact research projects. You'll gain real-world experience through meaningful work, professional development, and community programs.
What You'll Do
- Perform experiments supporting Medicinal Chemistry research activities under general supervision.
- Operate scientific equipment, select methods to perform experiments, analyze data, and document findings.
- Plan and organize details of experiments.
- Participate in group meetings and present data, results, and conclusions.
- Showcase work with a final presentation near the conclusion of the internship.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your university.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited US university.
- Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Must be enrolled full-time for the Fall Semester after the internship.
- Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August.
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration.
Nice to Have
- Majoring in Chemistry or a related field with some research laboratory experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to identify issues and seek solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
- Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly compensation range: $19.00 - $55.00.
- Paid company holidays and sick time.
- Housing stipends for eligible employees.
Work Mode
This internship requires you to be onsite for its duration.
