Deel is seeking an Intern, Deel Lab to join as a Research and Policy Associate. You will collaborate with the Conflict Analytics Lab at Queen's University, focusing on labor and employment law research and legal compliance technology development.
What You'll Do
- Work as a Research Associate with the Queen’s University team for 4-5 weeks or 160-200 hours to produce publications on labor and employment laws.
- Assist in developing legal compliance technology, including drafting legal doctrine reports and annotating case law.
- Consult on key legal questions within the dispute resolution process.
- Collaborate with Deel Lab experts as project needs arise.
- Apply modern research methods, including empirical techniques, to tackle specific legal and policy research problems.
What We're Looking For
- Completed law school or current enrollment in a law school program.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A robust understanding of the local Georgian legal system, particularly in labor and employment law.
- Proven experience with legal and policy research.
- A proactive, autonomous, resilient, and adaptable mindset, with eagerness for continuous professional development.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Outstanding writing skills in both English and Georgian.
Nice to Have
- Specific knowledge of labor law.
