As a key contributor to project success, you will lead business analysis and testing initiatives for moderately complex to complex system implementations. You will work directly with business units, technical teams, and external vendors to identify, define, and validate system requirements that support operational efficiency and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams and external vendors through the full requirements lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives and on-time delivery
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements using structured methodologies
- Develop comprehensive models including current and future state workflows, use cases, business rules, and interface specifications
- Coordinate test planning and execution across multiple project types, ensuring quality outcomes
- Translate stakeholder input into actionable technical requirements and clear implementation paths
- Produce and manage all deliverables within the Requirements and Testing disciplines of the Rational Unified Process (RUP)
- Mentor team members in best practices for requirements management, vendor collaboration, and tool usage
- Facilitate collaboration between business units, technology teams, and trading partners to ensure cohesive project delivery
Qualifications
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in IT or a business-related field. Experience leading structured technical projects and managing external vendors is essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical abilities, clear communication skills, and a proven track record in delivering system solutions.
Preference will be given to candidates with 2–4 years of business analysis experience for intermediate roles, 5+ years for senior roles, and 8+ years with project leadership experience for lead positions. Experience in managing technical initiatives within complex environments is highly valued.
Technical Environment
This role utilizes Rational Unified Process (RUP) frameworks and requires proficiency in creating stakeholder requests, use cases, business rules, user interface specifications, mapping documents, supplementary requirements, and test artifacts including test plans and cases.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position with no remote option. Available locations include Cedar Rapids, IA; Plano, TX; Baltimore, MD; and St. Petersburg, FL. A hiring bonus may be available and can be applied toward relocation expenses.
