Stafford Consulting Company is hiring an Instructional Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Program and Project Management with a federal focus. This 1099 contractor role blends deep federal PM expertise with adult learning facilitation to design, develop, and deliver high-quality training aligned with federal standards, PMBOK-based methodologies, and agency-specific requirements.
What You'll Do
- Develop instructor-led, virtual, and asynchronous training aligned with federal project management frameworks.
- Create participant guides, facilitator guides, assessments, job aids, and scenario-based exercises.
- Translate federal PM policies, lifecycle processes, and governance requirements into accessible learning content.
- Ensure all materials meet adult-learning principles and federal training standards.
- Deliver engaging virtual and/or in-person PM training to federal employees and contractors.
- Facilitate discussions, case studies, and practical exercises tied to real federal project environments.
- Provide coaching, Q&A, and applied PM guidance during and after training sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Expert-level subject matter knowledge in federal program and project management.
- Proven experience designing and developing adult learning curricula for technical subjects.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging training in virtual and in-person formats.
- Strong understanding of PMBOK-based methodologies and federal project lifecycles.
- Skill in translating complex policies and processes into clear instructional materials.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
