Requirements

  • Proficiency in using personal computers with expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • This role is subject to a Level 2 background check and Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, including an FBI fingerprint-based criminal record review, as required by Chapter 110.1127, 435, and 943 of the Florida Statutes. CJIS clearance grants the department access to all criminal and juvenile records, including sealed or expunged ones.
  • Applicants must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing, with no suspensions, cancellations, or revocations within the past three years and throughout employment. No more than three chargeable crashes or violations under Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, are allowed in any consecutive three-year period.
  • The position involves physical demands such as prolonged standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional overtime, including weekends, is required.
  • Uniform wear is mandatory for this role.
  • Travel outside the local area is necessary.
  • Selection process may include a skills assessment and/or oral interview.
  • Finalists must undergo a fingerprint-based background investigation, including an FBI criminal history check. Biometric data will be stored in the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and may be used for future comparisons.
  • Employees are paid monthly on the last workday. All must participate in direct deposit as per Florida Statute s. 110.113.
