Transcarent is hiring an Inpatient Coding Specialist to join our team on a PRN or Full-Time basis. This is a work-from-home position where you will utilize and enhance your inpatient coding expertise. What You'll Do
- Work independently to code inpatient records.
- Meet client productivity targets while maintaining a coding quality of 95% or greater.
- Maintain a committed regular schedule with reliable and punctual attendance.
What We're Looking For
- AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CIC, COC) certification.
- A minimum of two years’ recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting.
- Experience coding ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes.
- Knowledge of MS DRG Coding Classification Systems.
- Technical competency with remote-based connectivity including virtual private networks, multi-factor authentication via smartphone, and video conferencing platforms.
- Proficiency with office software including Outlook for communication and calendar, and Excel for data management.
