The Innovation and AI Solutions Engineering role resides within the firm's Innovation Department, focusing on developing, enhancing, and expanding the organization's technological innovation and artificial intelligence solutions for both practice and enterprise applications. This position encompasses optimizing data collection and workflow processes, supporting attorneys and staff through software development, low/no-code solutions, and strategic data initiatives. This position offers flexible hybrid or remote work arrangements. Essential Duties, Responsibilities - Facilitate innovation projects through strategic discussions, management meetings, business process development, data integration implementation, and best practice recommendations - Construct and maintain innovative AI solutions with optimal data API and pipeline architectures - Develop and implement machine learning models, including AI model and prompt creation - Collaborate with business and technical teams to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting methodologies - Evaluate user requirements to align technological solutions with organizational strategic objectives - Manage complex, large-scale datasets meeting business and technical specifications - Identify and implement internal process improvements, including automation and infrastructure optimization - Construct system infrastructure for efficient data extraction, transformation, loading, and integration using SQL, Power BI, and Azure technologies - Develop analytics tools generating actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, billing analytics, and legal performance metrics - Ensure comprehensive data security across multiple organizational environments - Create data visualization and reporting tools for conveying meaningful insights from complex datasets - Utilize statistical and computational techniques for problem-solving - Demonstrate proficiency in natural language processing and machine learning techniques - Conduct research and apply innovative modeling approaches - Utilize GitHub and software version control - Efficiently document code and comprehensive processes - Deploy models in production environments through custom APIs and enterprise solutions Experience, Knowledge and Abilities - Extensive expertise in SQL, relational databases, query authoring, and cloud platform management - Proven experience building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures - Strong analytical capabilities with structured and unstructured datasets - Adaptability in learning new tools and programming languages - Self-management and priority organization skills - Proficiency in root cause analysis and process improvement - Successful history of dataset manipulation and value extraction - Cross-functional collaboration experience - Responsible handling of sensitive information - Advanced AI/ML data preparation skills - Understanding of data bias detection and mitigation techniques - Experience with vector databases and semantic search technologies Technological Proficiency - Expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, DataWarehousing - Proficiency in PowerBI, DAX, programming languages - Advanced API integration capabilities - Comprehensive experience with diverse data formats Requirements - 4+ years in Data Engineering/DevOps roles - Bachelor's or graduate degree in relevant technological discipline - Microsoft SQL Server experience - Exceptional communication skills Preferred Qualifications - AI/ML data preparation certification - Legal technology platform expertise - Data privacy regulation knowledge Primary location in Palo Alto with competitive compensation ranging from $105,400 to $158,125 annually, potentially including performance-based bonuses.
