Lola Blankets is hiring a Field Service Technician to perform commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Jenbacher Gas Engines. This hands-on field service role is based in Houston or San Antonio and requires a blend of mechanical and electrical expertise.
What You'll Do
- Execute service on engines in compliance with maintenance protocols, including oil management, filter and valve replacement, and diverse measurements.
- Perform minor repairs and planned maintenance.
- Carry out major engine service and rebuilds of in-frames, including engine, gearbox, and generators, in collaboration with colleagues.
- Analyze engine failures across mechanical, electronic, and software systems, reviewing historical data.
- Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical issues.
- Prepare detailed site visit reports documenting symptoms, actions, parts used, hours spent, and results.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all EHS policies.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team of technicians.
- Process timesheets, expense reports, EHS forms, and job reports in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- A valid driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Ability and willingness to work remotely, as required.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle.
Nice to Have
- 4+ years of reciprocating engine or renewable gas engine experience.
- Commissioning experience.
- Mechanical Technician certification or higher.
- Electrical Technician certification or higher.
- Living in or willing to relocate to Houston or San Antonio.
- Familiarity or qualification to work with Jenbacher reciprocating gas/diesel engines.
- Ability to understand and implement technical procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication with team, management, and customers.
- Strong customer focus and ability to interact effectively with clients.
- Strong computer skills and PLC knowledge.
