What You'll Do
Perform on-site mechanical and electrical servicing of Jenbacher gas engines, including routine maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Conduct engine inspections, replace components such as filters and valves, and carry out oil analysis and other critical measurements. Support major service events alongside team members, following established protocols for engine, gearbox, and generator rebuilds.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electronic failures using engine data and software tools. Document each service visit thoroughly, recording findings, actions taken, parts used, and follow-up needs. Maintain compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards at all job sites and ensure workspaces remain organized and hazard-free.
Collaborate with fellow technicians while also working independently when needed. Submit accurate timesheets, expense reports, and service documentation promptly. Adapt to remote work requirements and travel frequently—up to 80% of the time—across the Eastern United States.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability standards for operating a company vehicle
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future
- Willingness to travel frequently and work remotely as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Four or more years of experience with reciprocating or renewable gas engines
- Background in mechanical or electrical technician roles
- Experience with engine commissioning
- Residence in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, or Missouri
Technical Environment
