This Field Service Technician will perform commissioning, mechanical, and electrical field service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines, involving troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and minor overhauls. These engines range from 0.25 to 9.5 MW, operating on natural gas or various alternative gases like biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, sewage gas, and combustible industrial waste gases. Essential Responsibilities: - Implement service protocols for engines, including oil checks, filter replacements, valve maintenance, and diverse measurements - Conduct minor engine repairs beyond scheduled service - Execute major engine servicing collaboratively with team members - Coordinate tasks with external specialist suppliers - Ensure maintenance activities comply with EHS protocols - Diagnose engine failures in mechanics, electronics, and associated software systems - Analyze historical engine data - Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical engine issues - Document site visit reports detailing visit reasons, symptoms, actions, material usage, and outcomes - Generate comprehensive fault reports - Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure approved materials - Work independently or collaboratively with technician teams - Complete administrative documentation promptly - Adhere to EHS policies for workplace safety - Perform additional assigned responsibilities Qualifications/Requirements: - 4 years reciprocating engine experience preferred - Commissioning background desired - Automotive mechanical/electrical expertise - Mechanical Technician certification or higher - Electrical Technician certification or higher - Willingness to participate in on-call rotations - Residing in or willing to relocate to Covington, Georgia Eligibility Requirements: - Ability to travel up to 80% of time - Valid driver's license - Remote work capability - U.S. work authorization - Meet company vehicle insurability standards Desired Characteristics: - Familiarity with Jenbacher reciprocating gas/diesel engines, Series 6 preferred - Technical procedure comprehension - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilities - Customer-centric approach - Effective customer interaction - Advanced computer proficiency - PLC knowledge
