Hutton is looking for an Industrial Project Manager to serve as the driving force behind project schedules, safety, and standards. You will be working with Hutton’s Industrial team, delivering manufacturing plants, processing expansions, utility infrastructure, structural concrete foundations, steel, equipment installations, and high-performance production environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead Project Planning & Execution: Anticipate project needs, create budgets and pathways, and own project success from preconstruction through completion.
- Drive Budget & Cost Control: Maintain precise budgets, track changes in real time, complete projections, and ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Coordinate with Stakeholders: Serve as the primary client contact, lead OAC meetings, and collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, estimators, and designers.
- Manage Procurement & Materials: Oversee bidding, subcontractor procurement, and material tracking from submittal to fabrication using company software.
- Ensure Safety & Quality: Uphold OSHA and Hutton safety standards, coordinate shutdown windows and tie-ins, resolve issues proactively, and lead site planning meetings.
- Oversee Documentation & Closeout: Produce timely pay applications, communicate project status, and manage all closeout procedures for successful completion.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a project manager or superintendent.
- OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification; working knowledge of OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Understanding of industrial systems: PFDs, P&IDs, utility infrastructure, equipment layouts, and structural/civil integration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey instructions and expectations.
- Team-oriented, with effective problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and professionalism.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience managing heavy industrial or process facility projects.
- Experience with construction scheduling software (ASTA, Primavera, or equivalent) and estimating software (Timberline, Beck, or equivalent).
- Proficiency with PDF tools (Bluebeam, Adobe, or equivalent); working knowledge of building codes, inspections, site logistics, and scheduling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and build strong relationships with team members, owners, and project partners.
