Ball Corporation is looking for an Industrial Electrician to play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of high-speed industrial equipment within our aluminum beverage can production process.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and repair electrical systems: install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems (24V–600V), including motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, and control panels.
- Provide PLC and automation support: program and troubleshoot PLC systems (preferably Rockwell) and ensure seamless integration with production equipment.
- Execute equipment installation and upgrades: perform electrical installations and system improvements to increase equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Adhere to safety regulations: work according to NFPA 70E standards and company safety procedures, implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Maintain technical documentation: keep accurate records, including electrical diagrams (on paper and in AutoCAD) and daily log entries.
- Collaborate and communicate: work effectively with various shifts and departments, ensuring clear communication about electrical faults and solutions.
- Participate in training and development: engage in on-the-job training (OJT) programs and contribute to skill development within production and maintenance teams.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant technical qualification in electrical engineering or a related field; familiarity with NFPA 70E standards.
- Computer skills.
Nice to Have
- PLC programming and diagnostics (preferably Rockwell).
