Recruitment Empire is looking for Igbo Remote Telephone Video Interpreters to join our network. This remote role involves facilitating clear communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency across a variety of professional and public service settings.
What You'll Do
- Interpret between English and Igbo over the phone or via video.
- Provide interpretation services to clients and customers with limited English Proficiency.
- Interpret for people using legal, health, and local government services.
- Check the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence.
- Perform conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
- Provide an accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting service.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the professional Code of Conduct.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in English and Igbo.
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
- You must be aged 21 or over.
Nice to Have
- Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or Community Interpreting certificate.
- Registration with NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI.
- A degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages.
- Any other interpreting-related qualification.
