About the Role

Lead the evolution of Integrated Facilities Management across the US and Canada by shaping strategy, optimizing service delivery, and ensuring operational consistency at scale. As the IFM Director, you will oversee geographically dispersed teams, guiding the expansion from multi-site operations to a mature, regionalized structure across North America.

Strategic Leadership & Growth

Drive business expansion by identifying and securing client growth opportunities, translating requirements into scalable initiatives. Lead the integration of new IFM sites, establishing standardized frameworks that support seamless onboarding and long-term performance. Serve as a trusted advisor, anticipating client needs and delivering solutions that consistently exceed expectations.

Operational Excellence

  • Own end-to-end facilities management across a distributed portfolio, including financial oversight, work order systems, facility condition assessments, and client initiative execution
  • Establish uniform processes while adapting to regional regulations and market dynamics
  • Lead crisis response for high-severity incidents, providing real-time leadership and resolution across locations
  • Implement quality assurance and continuous improvement programs to maintain best-in-class service standards

Team Development & Organizational Scaling

Build and mentor high-performing teams across multiple markets, developing leadership pipelines and multi-tier management structures. Guide the transition from managing individual Facility Managers to leading Regional Facility Managers and their teams. Deliver consistent coaching across time zones, fostering engagement and career progression in alignment with rapid business growth.

Compliance & Collaboration

Ensure adherence to environmental, health, safety, and regulatory standards across all sites. Partner with engineering leadership on preventative maintenance and compliance programs. Integrate cross-functional service delivery to align with client goals and organizational strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years in commercial real estate or facilities management
  • Proven experience managing multi-site, geographically dispersed operations
  • Track record in scaling teams, managing transitions, and driving growth
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and maintain on-call availability

  • 10+ years in facilities management
  • Experience scaling operations to regional or national levels
  • Leadership in building multi-tier management structures
  • Familiarity with US and Canadian regulatory environments
