This fully remote position is ideal for a skilled IBM IMS Consultant with a strong background in mainframe database technologies. You will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of highly complex database environments using IMS and DB2. Key Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth knowledge of mainframe databases to support all stages of database lifecycle management, from design through deployment and optimization.
- Develop robust database architectures that meet demanding performance, capacity, and reliability requirements.
- Analyze business needs and translate them into effective database solutions, making adjustments as requirements evolve.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, replication, and data scalability.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, flowcharts, and design models.

- Ensure data integrity by validating format, structure, and consistency across systems.
- Support disaster recovery initiatives by participating in data extraction, loading, and recovery exercises.
