About the Role
This role involves leading and supporting hydraulic analysis and water systems design for municipal and environmental infrastructure projects, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for water distribution and conveyance systems
- Analyze performance of existing water infrastructure under varying conditions
- Support the design of sustainable water supply and delivery solutions
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project deliverables
- Collaborate with engineers and planners on integrated water management
- Evaluate system capacity and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and regulations
- Participate in project planning and scoping activities
- Assist in developing conceptual and detailed designs
- Use software tools for simulation and data analysis
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
- Address client-specific technical requirements
- Support risk assessment and mitigation planning
- Contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Review construction plans for hydraulic accuracy
- Provide input on pump station and pipeline design
- Troubleshoot system performance issues
- Assist in emergency response planning for water systems
- Engage with stakeholders during project development
- Support permitting and regulatory submittals
- Stay current with industry advancements and best practices
- Mentor junior staff on technical methods
- Conduct field assessments when necessary
- Manage project tasks within schedule and budget
