About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for stormwater and flood control systems
- Develop models using software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or equivalent tools
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Evaluate watershed behavior and runoff patterns
- Support floodplain mapping and risk assessment studies
- Review site grading and drainage plans for compliance
- Coordinate with surveyors, planners, and environmental specialists
- Ensure designs meet regulatory and safety standards
- Participate in field inspections and data collection
- Assist in the development of erosion and sediment control plans
- Perform pipe capacity and open channel flow calculations
- Contribute to environmental impact assessments
- Support permitting processes with local and federal agencies
- Apply industry standards for culvert and bridge hydraulics
- Work on transportation corridor drainage improvements
- Use GIS tools for spatial data analysis
- Collaborate on sustainable water management strategies
