What You'll Do
As an HVAC Technician, you’ll lead on-site commissioning, startup, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial settings. You’ll be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring systems operate efficiently through precise diagnostics, programming, and repairs. Work will span healthcare facilities, schools, offices, and industrial sites, requiring adherence to engineering plans and safety protocols.
You’ll use diagnostic software, hand tools, and mobile devices to troubleshoot and resolve system issues. Coordinate with project leads and clients to plan service activities, anticipate needs, and ensure timely execution. You’ll also help train junior technicians and maintain accountability for company equipment and tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or completion of an accredited technical program
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on HVAC experience
- Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with a clean driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld computing devices
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
Preferred qualifications include formal technical training and EPA certification in HVAC, boiler operation, or gas installation.
