Chief of Minds is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support to our diverse portfolio of clients. In this dynamic role, you will manage a wide range of HR functions from benefits administration to employee relations. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and seamlessly adapt to the needs of multiple clients.
What You'll Do
- Partner with internal and client management to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Assist in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures; maintain the employee handbook and policy manuals.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Respond to employee relations issues, including complaints and harassment allegations; investigate and settle grievances.
- Represent the company and clients during unemployment claims disputes.
- Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring accurate payroll processing and record-keeping.
- Serve as backup payroll processor for the payroll department.
- Assist with new-employee background checks and online investigation requests.
- Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommend corrective action.
- Assist with termination processing and the preparation of the performance review process.
- Support recruitment efforts for all employee types and assist with the interviewing process.
- Assist or prepare correspondence as requested and perform other related duties.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum four years of broad human resources experience, including employee relations, policy work, payroll, benefit administration, and HR audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
- Proven experience in a consulting or fast-paced environment managing multiple projects or clients.
- A proven track record of success and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
