SICPA is seeking an HSE Officer to define, deploy, and oversee the Health, Safety, and Environment policy at our headquarters in Prilly. You will ensure regulatory compliance, control occupational risks, and develop a sustainable safety culture in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Conduct regulatory and technological monitoring regarding standards and best practices in technical safety and occupational health.
- Analyze occupational risks and establish mandatory safety documentation: MSST system audits, hazard determinations, evacuation plans, fire protection concepts, chemical management, and ventilation systems.
- Maintain annual certifications in line with MSST and AEAI directives.
- Participate in developing operational and investment budgets.
- Control costs, establish budget requests, and ensure financial follow-up for HSE projects and operations.
- Consolidate and analyze HSE reporting (KPI, accidents, environment).
- Prepare reports for the Executive Committee, Management, and external stakeholders.
- Actively participate in the Group's HSE community.
- Organize and supervise evacuation drills at the Prilly and Bussigny sites.
- Analyze accidents, near-misses, and hazardous situations; define and manage associated action plans and ensure internal communication.
- Develop and promote best practices in workplace safety and ensure their application in line with the security policy.
- Conduct STPS compliance and fire protection audits.
- Foster a safety culture in collaboration with internal partners (R&D, Facility Management, Technical Services) and external companies.
- Lead awareness and prevention campaigns.
- Define HSE objectives, performance indicators, and associated action plans.
- Define, deploy, and manage the HSE policy.
- Collaborate with competent authorities (SECO, CFST, SUVA, cantonal labor inspections, fire police, ECA).
- Deliver occupational health and safety training for new employees and managers.
- Monitor and challenge teams in the execution of action plans.
- Develop a culture of positive feedback.
- Contribute to harmonizing HSE practices between the Bussigny and Prilly sites.
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Certified CFST Safety Engineer and AEAI Fire Protection Safety Officer.
- Commitment to obtaining the required annual training credits.
- Proven experience leading transformation projects to improve HSE performance.
- Strong ability to analyze complex problems and identify multiple root causes.
- Excellent knowledge of HSE management systems and translating policies/standards into operational action plans.
- Demonstrated ability to influence behavioral change within an organization, and to constructively and positively challenge decisions and practices.
- Previous experience in cross-functional teams with effective stakeholder management.
- Native French; C1-level English.
- Excellent command of O365, SharePoint, ShareFile, and SAP S/4HANA.
