DHL is hiring a HR Business Partner

About the Role

DHL is looking for an HR Business Partner to collaborate directly with operational leaders to deliver business results and cultivate a positive employee environment at the distribution center level. You will be instrumental in implementing comprehensive HR programs.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions.
  • Conduct recruiting efforts including onsite hiring events, job fairs, and agency engagement.
  • Monitor agency performance to ensure fulfillment of temporary daily open positions.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and manage the onboarding process.
  • Administer the exit process, including termination paperwork and system deactivations.
  • Administer company policies and follow up on compliance.
  • Assist in employee relations investigations and escalate matters as necessary.
  • Conduct all HR internal audits and maintain employee and I-9 file systems.
  • Maintain various monthly HR reports.
  • Manage the performance review and merit process for hourly employees.
  • Support implementation of DC pay structure changes and reconcile pay errors.
  • Oversee and conduct monthly reward and recognition programs.
  • Coordinate employee benefits including enrollments, terminations, and changes.
  • Facilitate open, two-way communication across all employee levels.
  • Coordinate the Employee Opinion survey and performance improvement programs.
  • Maintain high visibility and approachability for all employees.
  • Monitor compliance with HR-related regulations, including maintaining the OSHA log.
  • Prepare and submit safety and accident reports.
  • Oversee the ID badge process and ensure compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 to 4 years of progressive HR experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, timekeeping, and/or safety.
  • Able to work several hours at night or early morning at least once per week.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills across multiple methods and employee levels.
  • Able to self-prioritize competing responsibilities and programs.
  • High level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Physical demands consistent with a professional office setting, including regular sitting and frequent standing/walking.
  • Able to work a range of shifts based on operational need.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field.
  • HR certification.
