Baylor College of Medicine was looking for a Hospitalist

The Section of General Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Hospitalist to join our team providing services at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. We are a premier academic health science center dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and scholarly activities. The ideal candidate is patient-centered and committed to delivering high-quality care in an inpatient setting.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct inpatient care on a 7 on/ 7 off block schedule.
  • Deliver medical care to adults within the inpatient care setting.
  • Supervise residents, medical students, and other learners as needed.
  • Coordinate with outpatient care teams to ensure safe patient discharge.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborative initiatives.
  • Work with the team to develop necessary order sets and procedures.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and research projects.
  • Collaborate nationally with recognized leaders in the field.
  • Complete all required continuing medical education.
  • Renew and maintain all required licenses and certifications.
  • Document all patient encounters using EPIC electronic medical records.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner to support billing and administrative tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Active license from the Texas Medical Board (or ability to obtain one).
