About the Role

Azurity Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Hospital Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist to develop and execute strategic plans across a wide geographical area in Upstate New York. You will be responsible for calling on healthcare professionals across multiple subspecialties, managing key account relationships, and attaining sales goals in an inclusive workplace focused on benefiting patients.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan for a wide geographical area to target and build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Call on physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other professionals at points including physician offices, hospital pharmacies, ORs, and ICUs.
  • Communicate clear messages in complex clinical situations.
  • Travel periodically with internal personnel, including management and marketing teams.
  • Utilize data sources to maximize strategies and capitalize on opportunities with the greatest ROI.
  • Attain or exceed assigned sales and profit goals.
  • Manage and track territory-specific information through a CRM system.
  • Travel as needed for the territory, including air travel.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 8 years of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Healthcare Industry sales experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage key account relationships.
  • Demonstrated growth in sales while managing your own territory.
  • Documented track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Business acumen and strong comprehension of difficult clinical information.
  • Ability to articulate complex clinical messages to Healthcare Providers in real-time situations.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, including ability to present to teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and virtual engagement skills.
  • Ability to work with a CRM tool (i.e., Veeva, Salesforce).
  • Independent, with an ability to work within a team.
  • Strong Leadership Skills.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.).

Nice to Have

  • Buy and Bill & Injectable product Experience.
  • Oncology Experience.
  • Hospital Sales/Account Based Selling Experience – familiarity with P&T/Formulary process.
  • Knowledge of local/regional health systems.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • CRM tool (i.e., Veeva, Salesforce)
