IntellaTriage is hiring a part-time Hospice Telephone Triage RN to provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers. In this remote role, you will deliver patient-centered, compassionate care using best-in-class technology and client-customized protocols.
What You'll Do
- Provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health patients via telephone.
- Follow client-customized protocols to deliver patient-centered, compassionate care.
- Access Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions.
- Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to protocols.
- Handle a minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends.
- Complete a minimum of 30 minutes of paid shift prep prior to taking calls.
- Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours at the end of the shift completing remaining charting.
- Attend in-services and additional training on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as designated by the states in which you answer calls.
- Pick up additional shifts, if available, for the clients you are trained to support.
What We're Looking For
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.
- Must live in and work from a Compact US state.
- Must have high-speed internet.
- Must be tech savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have keyboard competence.
- Must be comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls.
- Ability and comfort with typing in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer.
- Must be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during days and evenings.
- Must be available to work every other Saturday & Sunday.
- Must be available to work some Holidays as required.
- Must be able to handle stress and multitask when receiving calls.
- Must pass a background check and nurse licensing check.
- Must have a quiet, private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hospice, palliative, and end-of-life care is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment such as ED, surgical services, or critical care.
- Additional languages beyond English are a bonus.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $23 per hour base pay with multiple opportunities to increase the rate.
- Eligible for a $1 shift differential for overnights and a $1 shift differential for weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
- Part-time and full-time nurses accumulate PTO based on hours worked per year.
- Part-time and full-time nurses are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
- Full-time nurses may also participate in medical, dental, vision, and/or supplemental insurances.
- IntellaTriage will cover the cost of non-compact state licensure if necessary for client support.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position. You must live in and work from a Compact US state.
