IntellaTriage is hiring a Remote Hospice Telephone Triage RN to join a mission-driven team that improves the lives of nurses and patients. In this role, you will provide after-hours nurse triage for hospice and home health providers, becoming an extension of our clients' care teams to manage patient care delivery during non-core hours.
What You'll Do
- Provide telephone triage for hospice and home health patients.
- Become an extension of clients' care teams to support them and their patients during non-core hours.
- Communicate empathically with patients while adhering to customized protocols.
- Access EMRs for charting and utilize internal applications to perform job functions.
- Complete a minimum of 30 minutes paid shift preparation prior to taking calls.
- Spend 30 minutes to 2 hours at the end of the shift completing remaining charting.
What We're Looking For
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license.
- Must live in and work from a Compact US state.
- Must have high-speed internet and be tech-savvy with keyboard competence.
- Comfortable accessing multiple technology applications to document during calls.
- Ability and comfort with typing in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Must physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer.
- Must be able to complete three weeks of remote paid training conducted during days and evenings.
- Must be available to work every other Saturday & Sunday.
- Must be available to work some Holidays as required.
- Must be able to handle stress and multitask when receiving calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays, up to 8 per hour on weekends).
- Must maintain CEU's as designated by the states in which you are answering calls.
- Must attend any in-services and additional training on an as-needed basis.
- Must pass a background check and nurse licensing check.
Nice to Have
- Experience with end-of-life care is required.
- Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment: ED, surgical services, or critical care.
- Additional languages are a bonus.

Team & Environment
You'll join a remote team providing outsourced after-hours care delivery.
Benefits & Compensation
- Paid at $23 per hour once trained to originally assigned team.
- Eligible for a $1 shift differential for overnights and a $1 shift differential for weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
- Accumulate PTO based on the number of hours worked per year.
- Eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
- Full-time nurses may also participate in medical, dental, vision, and/or supplemental insurances.
- Company-provided laptop and headset.
- IntellaTriage will cover the cost of non-compact state licensure if necessary for client support.
- Three weeks of remote paid training.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position. You must live in and work from a Compact US state. Our remote-first culture provides care without the stress and expense of commuting.
