What You'll Do
Deliver comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric patients in their home environment, identifying developmental needs and functional challenges. Design and implement individualized treatment programs that align with each child’s goals and abilities, adjusting plans as progress is measured over time.
Work closely with families to demonstrate supportive techniques and recommend modifications to the home setting that enhance accessibility and engagement. Communicate regularly with physicians, therapists, nurses, and social workers to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
Track patient outcomes through detailed clinical documentation in the EMR system, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for healthcare providers and insurers. Participate in case reviews and care team meetings to support holistic treatment strategies.
Requirements
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience in pediatric therapy, preferably in home or community-based settings
- Strong assessment and clinical documentation skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to patient and family education
