Amentum is looking for a Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) to provide flight instruction to student pilots at Fort Rucker, Alabama. You'll teach, coach, and mentor student pilots through intensive training designed to prepare them for their future roles as military aviators.
What You'll Do
- Provide flight instruction in the UH-72 helicopter.
- Teach, coach, and mentor student pilots through intensive training.
- Conduct flight instruction within an area encompassing more than 40,000 square miles.
What We're Looking For
- Possess an ICAO equivalent or FAA commercial pilot certificate.
- Possess an ICAO equivalent or FAA flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class and instrument helicopter ratings, OR be a graduate of any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course.
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours.
- Instructor Time: 500 hours.
- 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.
- Night Flying: 75 hours.
- Have instructed students in instrument flight training.
- Have a current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate prior to beginning training.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States and be able to provide proof of such authorization.
Nice to Have
- Military aviation experience or UH-72 qualification (not required).
- For Basic Warfighter Skills Applicants: Certified Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and having 200 hours of NVG time.
