Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and support frontline operations leaders in understanding and applying HSMS requirements.
  • Conduct scheduled site visits to evaluate safety practices including risk controls, training, emergency preparedness, incident reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Deliver clear reports and action plans following each visit to drive corrective measures and improvement.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to align local safety efforts with corporate objectives.

  • Design and deliver safety training programs, including presentations and educational content tailored to operational needs.
  • Support thorough incident investigations by guiding teams in root cause analysis and developing preventive actions.
  • Develop hazard alerts and analyze injury trends to inform proactive safety initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with provincial legislation and advise on responses to regulatory orders.

  • Work closely with disability management to support injured team members and promote successful return-to-work outcomes.

A degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation is required. Strong knowledge of provincial safety laws is essential, including the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.
