Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach UX designers and researchers at different career stages, supporting skill development and career progression.
- Develop and evolve the UX practice, including standards, tools, methods, and ways of working.
- Stay current with UX industry thinking, tools, and trends, and translate that knowledge into practical improvements for the team.
- Establish new propositions that fit market needs, in collaboration with marketing and delivery teams.
- Lead experimentation with AI tools and embed AI processes into delivery methods in ethical, responsible and compliant ways.
- Contribute to Each&Other’s external profile through writing, speaking, or community engagement.
- Support a strong practice culture built on quality, feedback, and continuous learning.
- Provide guidance to team members as they grow into leadership and mentoring roles themselves.
- Lead and shape complex UX engagements, providing senior design and research direction across projects.
- Work closely with Project Managers to guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, helping to frame problems, guide decision-making, and build trusted relationships.
- Support sales activity by shaping approaches, defining scopes, and contributing to pitches and proposals.
- Ensure work is delivered efficiently, to a high standard, and aligned with Each&Other’s values and ways of working.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience working at a senior, lead or principal level across UX design and user research.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end UX engagements, including problem definition, approach selection, delivery, and outcome evaluation.
- Accountable for UX decisions in high-stakes or ambiguous client contexts, rather than executing under direction.
- Strong communication skills — able to explain complex UX ideas clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and making final UX decisions under constraint.
- Experience mentoring or managing designers/researchers and raising the quality of others’ work.
- Portfolio demonstrating ownership of end-to-end UX programmes in real-world, commercial contexts.
- Strategic thinking — you can zoom out to see the bigger picture while still engaging deeply with the details when needed.
- Practical mindset — you balance quality, speed, and commercial realities to deliver great work on time.
- You are already eligible to live and work in the EU.
