Migaku is hiring a Head of Product to own the vision and development of our unique suite of advanced immersion language learning products. You will be the central force defining the product lifecycle, synthesizing user needs with business objectives to serve both beginner and power-user segments effectively.
What You'll Do
- Be the product owner for our language learning software suite over the full product lifecycle.
- Act as the glue between creative, engineering, market, and marketing teams.
- Use creativity, product instincts, and market insights to define product capabilities with designers and engineers.
- Design frictionless onboarding flows to convert free users to paid subscribers rapidly.
- Build features to boost Day 1 activation, Week 1 retention, and long-term engagement.
- Get hands-on with UI details and marketing copy.
- Balance resource allocation and user satisfaction between beginner and power users.
- Understand market wants and modulate market thinking without overwhelming customers.
- Control resources during development to avoid scope creep.
- Understand the importance of releasing MVPs to gather data and iterate.
- Foster an innovative culture, hire team members, and provide mentoring.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional ability to synthesize market research, customer feedback, product instincts, and technical constraints into a cohesive product vision.
- Experience implementing successful activation and retention strategies.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma) and project management software.
- Experience managing budgets and timelines in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience as a product leader in consumer software.
- Passion for language learning.

- Having studied a difficult language relative to your native language to high proficiency.
