The Head of Physical Security will lead the creation and implementation of a global physical security strategy to protect personnel, facilities, and assets across manufacturing, testing, and operational sites. This role reports to the Chief Infrastructure Officer and requires strategic oversight of physical security, risk assessment, and crisis response.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a worldwide physical security strategy that supports corporate goals and adheres to regulatory standards.
- Manage a team of security professionals and oversee third-party security service providers.
- Perform in-depth threat and risk evaluations across all company facilities and operational locations.
- Direct the planning and deployment of physical security technologies such as surveillance, access control, perimeter defenses, and intrusion detection systems.
- Work with engineering, infrastructure, flight operations, and human resources teams to integrate security into all areas of operations.
- Establish emergency response procedures and lead incident management during security events.
- Engage with local, national, federal, and international law enforcement and security authorities as needed.
- Produce and maintain executive-level reports on security status, incidents, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Promote organization-wide security awareness through training programs, internal communications, and employee engagement.
- Ensure adherence to applicable legal, regulatory, and industry-specific requirements, including those in aviation and industrial security.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate physical security, law enforcement, or military security operations, with leadership roles preferred in aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing.
- Proven experience in managing security risks, responding to incidents, and developing emergency plans.
- Strong understanding of physical security technologies including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Experience managing security operations across multiple geographic regions and coordinating with international teams.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel within the country and abroad as operational needs require.
Nice to Have
- Holding recognized certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) is preferred.

Compensation
Target base pay between $200,000 - $240,000 yearly. Actual compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
