Smarkets is hiring a Head of Marketing to lead the expansion of our SBK product in the US market. As a founding member of the new US team, you will be responsible for developing and executing localized acquisition and retention strategies targeting customers in IN, IL, MI, and IA.
What You'll Do
- Develop and lead all aspects of customer acquisition and retention strategies for US customers.
- Run top-of-funnel acquisition, owning performance, affiliate, and brand strategy to grow awareness of SBK.
- Develop a localized customer retention strategy, ensuring timely CRM execution, promotional delivery, and content readiness.
- Work closely with the global marketing team and Director of Marketing to leverage resources and maximize budget ROI.
- Develop a localized brand and partnerships strategy that brings the product to life for local customers.
- Use AI and automation to streamline and optimize creative operations.
- Partner with the product team on positioning and go-to-market strategy for new product launches and features.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to ensure brand is a priority in leadership and roadmap decisions.
- Take ownership of the efficacy of the US marketing budget with a strong ROI and data-driven orientation.
- Represent the marketing department in cross-functional projects, providing strategic input.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in online and mobile direct-to-consumer marketing.
- Direct experience with sportsbook, DFS, or F2P required.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels including paid social, search, and wider paid media.
- Experience creating and implementing A/B testing plans across various ad platforms.
- Proven ability to analyze performance data and optimize creative assets for better engagement and conversion.
- Ability to make creative decisions driven by analytical insights.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience managing agencies, designers, and content creators.
Nice to Have
- Start-up experience is a plus.
- Mobile-first experience is desirable.
- Regulatory awareness is advantageous.
