Rogo is hiring a Head of Legal

We are looking for the founding Head of Legal at Rogo. You will be instrumental in shaping our growth and own Rogo's entire legal strategy, covering product development, corporate matters, finance, and commercial strategy.

What You'll Do

• Lead high-value MSAs and data-licensing agreements with major banks and content providers.
• Create playbooks and negotiation standards to streamline smaller deals.
• Own internal AI-safety and model-training policies.
• Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
• Build a defensible patent portfolio.
• Protect Rogo's rights in all customer and vendor contracts.
• Manage board governance, equity financings, cap-table management, and employment matters.
• Provide legal and commercial guidance on new products or strategic initiatives.
• Position Rogo as the benchmark for secure, compliant AI in finance through industry engagement and public-facing content.

What We're Looking For

• Top-tier law-firm training.
• Working knowledge of financial services and software licensing.
• Experience with complex commercial deals, IP strategy, privacy, and corporate governance.
• Deep interest in AI, software, and finance.
• Commercially-minded.
• Strong communicator with credibility across counsel, CISOs, and boards.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of AI governance, data licensing, and generative-model IP.
• Proficient in SaaS/cloud licensing, open-source, SLAs, and security terms.
• Early lawyer at a hyper-growth startup.
