Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, is hiring a Head of Global Fillers and Regenerative Injectables PCS. In this role, you will shape the integrated strategic vision and direction for our hyaluronic acid, biostimulatory, and regenerative injectables portfolio. You are responsible for all aspects of the new product pipeline and overall strategy to support long-term category leadership through innovation and expansion.
What You'll Do
- Act as the accountable commercial owner of the global fillers & regenerative injectables pipeline and franchise strategy.
- Build and lead a high-performing team to gather key global commercial insights and deliver a robust portfolio strategy.
- Support your team to identify growth opportunities via new product introduction and portfolio optimization.
- Ensure robust early commercial planning and smooth transition of pipeline programs to downstream execution teams.
- Develop close working relationships with leaders across R&D, regulatory/legal, medical affairs, market research, operations, marketing, and key opinion leaders.
- Navigate competing priorities across functions and regions to align on the best path forward for the global business.
- Ensure strong cross-functional and leadership alignment on strategy and key commercial inputs for pipeline programs.
- Maintain a robust understanding of competitor insights and their implications for the facial injectables portfolio.
- Support agile decision-making to adapt strategy based on evolving insights and pipeline developments.
- Maintain accountability for developing rigorous forecasts to support portfolio optimization, business decisions, and a rigorous Long-Range Plan submission.
- Own the budget and proactively partner with Finance to ensure timely review and management of financial resources.
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree within a relevant course of study.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
- Minimum of 10 years’ people leadership experience.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
- Strong strategic thinking with a proven ability to develop robust strategies and support sound decision-making.
- Demonstrated track record of leading a diverse team through a compelling shared vision, nurturing and developing key talent.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to drive consensus in a matrix.
- Strong analytical expertise.
- Ability to understand scientific data and biologic mechanisms, and compellingly communicate to different internal and external audiences.
- Able to pivot appropriately from high-level strategic decisions with imperfect information to detail-oriented tactical execution.
- Highly agile and adaptable, with an ability to adapt strategy as information evolves.
- Robust understanding and experience of different stages of the product life cycle, including product launch.
- Strong communicator with excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; proven ability to interact directly with and influence Senior Management and global thought leaders in aesthetics.
Nice to Have
- MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine, Sciences) strongly preferred.
- Experience in medical aesthetics strongly preferred.
- Global experience strongly preferred.
