About the Role

Glean is hiring a Head of Field Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and execution in Japan. Based in Tokyo, you will partner closely with sales and marketing to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales through localized initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Build the Japan go‑to‑market plan and quarterly marketing calendar aligned to revenue targets.
  • Own integrated demand generation including digital acquisition, ABM programs, webinars, and lead nurture localized for Japan.
  • Lead field and event marketing, anchoring third‑party conferences and Glean‑hosted programs.
  • Drive partner marketing with hyperscalers and SIs, developing joint campaigns and MDF plans.
  • Localize and continuously improve glean.com/jp and priority marketing assets.
  • Establish account‑based motions for top strategic accounts with personalized content and experiences.
  • Launch Japan PR and communications in partnership with Global Comms.
  • Build customer marketing programs for reference stories and advocacy.
  • Stand up modern marketing operations and reporting, including forecasting and ROI dashboards.
  • Select and manage agencies and hire a high‑performing local team over time.
  • Champion responsible AI adoption narratives tailored to Japan’s enterprise buyers.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in Japan and 4+ years leading teams at enterprise SaaS or platform companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Work authorisation in Japan and willingness to travel domestically ≈25%.
  • Proven track record owning a regional number and delivering pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Deep experience localising global narratives for Japanese buyers.
  • Native‑level Japanese and strong business English; confident presenter and writer in both.
  • Hands-on leader with startup hustle, comfortable building from 0→1.
  • Data‑driven operator fluent with Salesforce, Marketo, and common ABM/digital tools.
  • Highly collaborative across Sales, Partners, Product Marketing, and Comms.
  • Passionate about AI and its real‑world impact on knowledge work.
