Nebius is seeking a Head of Engineering Recruitment to lead and transform our global engineering hiring function. You will build a repeatable, high-quality recruitment engine to attract, assess, and hire senior and highly technical engineering talent at scale, particularly in the UK and US.
What You'll Do
- Lead, scale, and develop a global team of engineering recruiters across multiple regions.
- Own end-to-end engineering recruitment delivery for highly technical roles across infrastructure, platform, systems, and product engineering.
- Diagnose and strengthen the top of the engineering hiring funnel, improving attraction, sourcing, and early-stage quality for senior and hard-to-hire roles.
- Partner closely with senior engineering leadership to understand technical needs and translate them into clear role definitions and hiring strategies.
- Improve candidate calibration by role type and seniority to reduce process elongation and increase hiring efficiency and quality.
- Raise the bar on hiring standards by defining technical and behavioural benchmarks and aligning assessment processes.
- Build and continuously improve hiring processes, assessment frameworks, and candidate experience to support scale without sacrificing quality.
- Increase engagement and accountability of hiring managers in top-of-funnel work and hiring outcomes.
- Use data, market insight, and reporting to guide hiring decisions, capacity planning, location strategy, and continuous improvement.
- Design and evolve the engineering recruitment team’s structure, capabilities, and operating rhythm to ensure reliability and consistency at scale.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience leading engineering recruitment teams in fast-growing technology companies.
- Proven track record hiring senior and highly technical engineering talent beyond referral-driven networks.
- Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, technical hiring challenges, and competitive global talent markets.
- Experience managing global or multi-regional recruitment teams.
- Ability to partner credibly and effectively with senior engineering and technology leaders.
- Data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics and insight to improve hiring quality and outcomes.
- Hands-on leadership style, comfortable operating in ambiguous, rapidly scaling environments.
- Experience building, rebuilding, or scaling in-house engineering recruitment functions.
Nice to Have
- Experience in AI, cloud, infrastructure, or other deep-tech environments.
- Familiarity with UK and US engineering talent markets and distributed engineering teams.
- Experience hiring engineers from large technology companies and FAANG-adjacent environments.
