Responsibilities
- Oversee all engineering functions, managing around 25 engineers across product and data engineering teams.
- Establish the framework for an AI-driven engineering organization, covering tools, workflows, performance benchmarks, metrics, and team design.
- Foster a high-performance engineering culture defined by rigorous standards and rapid skill development through candid feedback.
- Define culture through operational practices, code review expectations, and team decision-making processes rather than symbolic gestures.
- Make decisive and timely judgments on team structure and individual performance.
- Accelerate the growth of skilled engineers by introducing innovative tools and modern work practices.
- Ensure engineering has a respected and influential role in product strategy and planning.
- Build credibility through technical expertise and consistent execution, using data and insight to guide product direction.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Product Officer and product teams on organizational design, talent acquisition, and engineering evolution aligned with product goals.
