Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits was looking for a Harvest Enologist

Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits is hiring a Harvest Enologist for Joel Gott Wines' 2026 Harvest. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will split your time between winemaking and viticulture, supporting our premium production of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. You'll work closely with our winemaker across two facilities in the Dundee area and conduct vineyard sampling throughout the Willamette Valley.

What You'll Do

  • Perform weekly vineyard scouting, recording field notes and communicating observations.
  • Collect weekly grape samples, assess maturity, and log field data.
  • Oversee initial grape receival, crushing, additions, and other production tasks.
  • Monitor fermentations, take tank samples, and check daily Brix and temperatures.
  • Assist with conducting small lot fermentations.
  • Verify work orders and winemaking protocols are followed correctly.
  • Distribute samples and products between facilities as needed.
  • Set up laboratory trials and tastings.
  • Perform Brix and pH analysis on vineyard samples using provided equipment.
  • Assist in processing juice samples for analysis and tasting.
  • Enter sample results and field notes into our systems.
  • Perform QC monitoring of the bottling line if bottling is active.

What We're Looking For

  • A hard-working individual who can follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong observation and analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately document information.
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capable of extensive walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort with physical work and exposure to outside elements.
  • A valid Oregon driver’s license and clean DMV report.

Nice to Have

  • A B.S. in Viticulture & Enology or a similar science field, or currently pursuing such a degree.
  • Previous lab or harvest experience and familiarity with winemaking practices.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Hourly range: $22.00 - $26.00

This role is fully onsite and based in Dundee, Oregon.
