About the Role
This role involves creating and improving hardware for satellite communication gateways and customer hardware, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop hardware for satellite communication gateways and customer hardware.
- Create and maintain documentation for hardware designs and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with software and other systems.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure hardware meets performance and reliability standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues.
- Develop and implement test plans and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
- Work on prototypes and proof-of-concept designs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs).
- Develop and implement test automation solutions.
- Ensure hardware designs are cost-effective and scalable.
- Conduct environmental testing and qualification.
- Develop and implement design verification plans.
- Participate in design for testability (DFT) activities.
- Ensure hardware designs are secure and reliable.
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing.
- Develop and implement design for reliability (DFR) principles.

Certifications
Relevant certifications in hardware design and development are a plus.
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
