About the Role

This role involves creating and improving hardware for satellite communication gateways and customer hardware, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hardware for satellite communication gateways and customer hardware.
  • Create and maintain documentation for hardware designs and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with software and other systems.
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure hardware meets performance and reliability standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues.
  • Develop and implement test plans and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
  • Work on prototypes and proof-of-concept designs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Develop and implement test automation solutions.
  • Ensure hardware designs are cost-effective and scalable.
  • Conduct environmental testing and qualification.
  • Develop and implement design verification plans.
  • Participate in design for testability (DFT) activities.
  • Ensure hardware designs are secure and reliable.
  • Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing.
  • Develop and implement design for reliability (DFR) principles.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Proven experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on satellite communication systems.

Skills

Proficient in PCB design and layout, FPGA and ASIC design, and embedded systems.

Certifications

Relevant certifications in hardware design and development are a plus.

Languages

Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
