Responsibilities
- Support the development and review of method statements, construction sequencing, and temporary works plans.
- Prepare technical drawings, engineering calculations, and design documentation under supervision; assist with construction-phase tasks including RFI responses, site clarifications, daily reporting, inspection checklists, and as-built records.
- Participate in the evaluation of materials and geotechnical submittals such as concrete and shotcrete mix designs, ground improvement techniques, and waterproofing systems.
- Assist in establishing and monitoring instrumentation for settlement, convergence, and inclinometer readings, and summarize findings in line with predefined trigger and action levels.
- Gain field experience observing tunnel boring machine operations—including launch and arrival preparations, segment ring assembly, and annulus grouting—as well as sequential excavation method activities like advance cycles, support installation, and shotcrete quality assurance, while upholding site safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Work alongside structural, geotechnical, and construction management professionals to understand temporary and permanent works, excavation support methods—including diaphragm walls, secant piles, soldier piles, bracing, and anchors—dewatering strategies, and utility protection measures.
