Responsibilities
- Verify sample submissions to Quality Control
- Document sample transactions in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Handle, store, and organize samples
- Deliver samples to QC laboratories for testing as needed
- Interact with external customers and functional peer groups
- Fulfill sample pull requests
- Comply with all relevant regulatory agency requirements
- Conduct temperature, environmental, and CO2 monitoring
- Prepare samples for shipment
- Perform sample inventory and disposal
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and report quality or other anomalies through the Deviation Notification and Resolution system
- Lead a team of Sample Management Specialists in a regulated facility
- Coordinate, support, and monitor team performance using quality metrics while meeting client deadlines
- Coordinate with client contacts to communicate deliverable status, determine priorities, and set timelines
- Set individual and team goals to develop the scope of work and responsibilities of the team
- Manage time off and payroll entries for the team
- May participate in new hire interviews
- Support the on-boarding process for new employees
- Participate in training other employees
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
