Lam Research is looking for a Global Product Support Engineer to be the central technical backbone for our global field engineering and product support teams. Your expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex semiconductor equipment will be critical to our operations.
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary escalation point for Type-3 support tickets and drive resolution across cross-functional teams (SQAD, HW, Process, and KAT).
- Serve as a secondary escalation point for Type 1-2 equipment stoppages when requested.
- Provide expert support via phone and travel onsite as needed.
- Support JDP, BETA, and Critical Evaluation system installations and operations.
- Generate all necessary technical documentation, including procedures, startup/installation guides, and FPICs.
- Ensure final system readiness by reviewing FPIG and EMG documentation, training RPS and FSE staff, and reviewing site ramp plans.
- Be the primary resource for first-in-fab and first-in-region installs during new product introductions.
- Share responsibility for JDP and Beta install and support activities.
- Participate in embedded training programs to gain product knowledge.
- Prepare and deliver program updates to customer technical teams (e.g., TRMs, quarterly reviews).
- Provide onsite project management support for critical account penetrations and escalations.
- Chair weekly meetings with key customer accounts to communicate project progress and gather feedback on performance issues.
- Travel an estimated 65% annually to support projects and products in the field.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a master’s degree; or a Ph.D. without experience; or equivalent work experience.
