United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) seeks a Global Market Intern for a 6-month placement within our Sales and Trading division. You’ll join the Financial Institutions (FI) Sales team, providing technical and administrative support while learning to gather market information and assist with client presentations in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Gather information on the previous day’s market activity before the trading day begins
- Handle general enquiries from the team and stakeholders
- Assist the FI Sales team in gathering relevant market and product data
- Prepare presentations for client pitches
What We're Looking For
- You are an undergraduate, currently in year 2 onwards
- A keen interest in global financial markets and the factors that impact them
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with change and able to adjust to evolving demands
- A strong team player who demonstrates energy and drive
- Creative thinking with problem-solving and process improvement skills
- A proactive and enthusiastic learner
Nice to Have
- A background in Finance, Accountancy, or Economics
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with Excel VBA being advantageous
